A solitary oak tree stands strong amid the grapevines…
Rows of wine grapes curve up and over the hill in a vineyard in the Edna Valley region of San Luis Obispo County, California. A part of the San Luis Obispo Coastal Wine Trail, a drive through this area entails whizzing past multiple wineries, all open to a public eager to sample the bounty of this incredibly fertile valley. While I’m personally not a wine drinker (oddly enough it makes me sneeze), I still love this area for its incredible beauty. I find it mesmerizing to stare out the window of a moving car, watching row after row of bright green grapevines fade out into the distance.

Gorgeous imagery Priya!
Thank you Sharon! I saw the oak tree and was immediately enthralled…
Very pretty with the rows of vines!
Thank you Laura! The Central Coast is such a beautiful area…
California is such a beautiful place and we are very lucky!
We are indeed! I think of moving from time to time due to the high cost of living in the Bay Area, but it’s just too beautiful and I’ve been spoiled by the amazing weather.
Me too!
Gorgeous!!
Thank you so much, Lianne!
Gorgeous image, Priya! I’m right there with you, remembering all the times I have been “mesmerized” by similar views out a car window. That one lone oak tree and expansive sky make such a beautiful composition to compliment the lovely curve of the grapevines. And your writing, together with the image, feels like a potent invitation to join with you in the experience. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind comment!
